Group Rules
1. Be Respectful and Professional
This is a community of future and current behavior analysts. Treat every member with the same respect you would bring to a professional setting. Disagreements are welcome; personal attacks are not.
2. Keep It Relevant
Posts should relate to ABA, student life, professional development, careers, CalSABA events, or topics meaningful to our members. Unrelated content may be removed.
3. No Spam or Self-Promotion
Do not post unsolicited advertisements, affiliate links, or promotional content. If you have something you think the community would genuinely benefit from, reach out to a group admin first.
4. Protect Confidentiality
Never share identifying information about clients, supervisees, or individuals you work with. Our ethical obligations do not stop at the group door.
5. Support, Don't Diagnose
This group is not a substitute for clinical supervision or professional consultation. Avoid giving clinical advice or making diagnostic statements about individuals described in posts.
6. Credit Your Sources
When sharing resources, research, or content created by others, give proper credit. Intellectual honesty is a value we carry into our professional lives.
7. Inclusive Language Matters
Use affirming language. We serve diverse communities and our group should reflect that commitment.
8. Follow CalSABA's Mission
All participation should reflect CalSABA's values of community, growth, and elevating the next generation of behavior analysts. Content that undermines those values will be removed.
9. Report, Don't Retaliate
If you see something that violates these rules, report it to a group admin. Do not engage in public callouts or confrontations within the group.
10. Admins Have Final Say
Group admins reserve the right to remove posts, mute members, or revoke access for violations of these rules or behavior that harms the community.
